A CIRCLE OF TRUST
YOU NEED DURING DIFFICULT TIMES

TRUST & CONFIDENTIALITY

How can Brothers help to fulfil their commitment through the Benevolent Fund?

Two ways:

  • By being sensitive to any signs that a Brother or Widow is in financial difficulty and mentioning it confidentially to a member of the Circle Benevolent Board.
  • By making donations to the Fund
There is a natural pride in individuals and a reluctance to apply for aid to which they may well be entitled. This is understandable but need not be so. Confidentiality is paramount and the Trustee’s only thought is to help – they are never judgemental about how someone has fallen into difficulty.

This reluctance means that applications are often received much later than they should with the resultant increase in the level of debts and stress. Please do not delay your claim.

All benevolent cases are treated as strictly confidential to the members of the Circle Benevolent Boards concerned and members and staff of the Managing Trustees. No one else is made aware of the circumstances of an applicant or even the fact that assistance has been sought.
